Richard A.  Dolan
RICHARD A. DOLAN, 86, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at home. He was born in Glens Falls, NY, and resided in Bogota, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., NJ, 11 years ago.
He was a Professional Engineer for the Port Authority of NY and NJ, retiring in 1993 after 40 years of service.
Richard was the Scout Master for the Cub Scout Pack #43 in Bogota, NJ, and a long serving trustee for the Bogota Library. He was the captain of the Union College Cross Country & Track Teams and a graduate of Union College, Schenectady, NY.
Richard was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War, earning the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was predeceased by his Parents, John T. and AnnaMarie Dolan; and his Son, Capt. Paul A. Dolan, US Air Force. Richard is survived by his Wife, Marie T. Dolan of Jackson Twp., NJ; his Sons, John Peter Dolan of Englewood, NJ, and James D. Dolan and his Wife, Nicolle of Helmetta, NJ; his Brother, Thomas E. Dolan and his Wife, Edith of Queensbury, NY; his Sister, Belle Bishop and her Husband, Richard of Southhold, NY; and by his many loving Nieces and Nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 1-5 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017, with his Funeral Service at 4 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. If so desired, contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to the Central Jersey Blood Center, 494 Sycamore Ave., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702 or the Union College Scholarship Fund, 807 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 and would be greatly appreciated.
